What the Program Covers

We built a computer science program for schools in Malaysia around four connected pieces, not a single coding class bolted onto an existing subject.

Data, Algorithms and Python

The subject starts with data and basic algorithms, then establishes Python as the core language a student builds everything else on for the rest of the whole curriculum still ahead of them. Concept by concept, that's variables and data types first, then loops and conditionals, then functions for breaking a problem into reusable pieces, and finally basic data structures like lists and dictionaries once a student can already write working logic on their own. Our textbooks cover this same progression from start to finish, used across 500+ institutions in India, UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

Web Development and Databases

HTML, CSS and JavaScript for web development, and SQL for database work, both taught once a student already has a coding foundation to draw on from the earlier stages of the course. On the web side, that covers page structure, styling, and basic interactivity like responding to a click. On the database side, it covers storing records in a table and writing queries to retrieve or filter them, the same logic behind searching for one result out of thousands. Every exercise runs through the same online coding platform used for that earlier Python work, so nothing feels like a separate tool bolted onto the course partway through.

What if two different teachers end up alternating this across the year?

The lesson plans and marking stay identical either way, since we build both into the program itself rather than one teacher's notes, so a handover mid-year doesn't cost the class continuity.

What happens if the teacher running this program leaves the school?

Very little. We keep the lesson plans, marking and training with the program, not one person.

Can a school adjust how much classroom time goes to web development versus databases?

Yes, within reason. We keep the core sequence fixed, but a school can spend an extra week on whichever half a class needs more time with, without falling behind the rest of the syllabus. Every exercise, from Python through to the CS Project Suite, runs in a browser a school's computers already have, so extending one section doesn't require new software either.

What does the CS Project Suite look like for a strong student?
