Our Grades Matched to American School Levels
| Grades | School level | Tools and work |
|---|---|---|
| 2 to 4 | Elementary | Scratch and micro:bit projects on sequences, repeats and choices |
| 5 | Upper elementary | First Arduino work with sensors and actuators |
| 6 to 8 | Middle school | Arduino projects using Python as the main language |
| 9 to 12 | High school | Raspberry Pi and IoT builds, with image recognition and machine learning |

The National AI Curriculum and Our Role
- Cabinet Decision: The UAE Cabinet approved an AI curriculum for all public and private schools. Its topics are AI, data, algorithms, applications and risks, plus ethical use.
- Our Role: We give teachers a ready programme of hands-on lessons that fit your school's existing grade structure.
- Ethical Use: Ethical use is part of the national topic list, and our AI lessons cover it.
Our AI Cloud Classroom: Tools beyond Coding
Tux Paint
A creative drawing tool built into the AI Cloud Classroom.
Typing Tool
A built-in typing tool that students use alongside their coding lessons.
Scratch and micro:bit
Grades 2 to 4 use block coding, where a few blocks instruct a small board.
What the Curriculum Gives a Teacher for Each Unit
Prepare
The teacher opens the unit's lesson plan and shows a presentation suited to the class.
Practice
Students write and run code in AI Cloud Lab.
Feedback
Work is marked automatically on submission, so students can fix issues within the period.
Review
The teacher checks class results, decides what to revisit and uses the teacher's guide for the next unit.
How Our Lessons Lead toward AP Computer Science
| Grades | What students do |
|---|---|
| 2 to 4 | Break tasks into steps and express them in blocks |
| 5 to 8 | Write Python, test it on hardware and fix failures |
| 9 to 12 | Build connected systems and AI projects |
AP Computer Science Principles Big Ideas in Our Lessons
| AP big idea | How it appears in the lessons |
|---|---|
| Creative development | Students build, test and present projects |
| Data | Models trained on examples, then tested on new ones |
| Algorithms and programming | Scratch in the early grades, then Python |
| Computer systems and networks | Raspberry Pi and IoT builds in high school |
| Impact of computing | Testing a model's answers before trusting them |
What Carries Over from Grade to Grade
| Earlier grade | Later grade | What carries over |
|---|---|---|
| Grades 2 to 4, blocks | Grades 5 to 8, Python | Sequences and repeats, written as text |
| micro:bit | Arduino | Reading inputs and controlling outputs |
| Arduino sensors | Raspberry Pi and IoT | The same sensors, connected to a small computer |
| Block-coded projects | Python and AI projects | Testing small pieces of code before adding more |
Our Four Stages: Concept, Practice, Creation, Expression
Concept
Students learn the idea through the lesson plan and presentation, with a reference video available.
Practice
Students work in AI Cloud Lab and receive feedback, and the teacher can track class progress.
Creation
Students build something and test it until it works, such as a line-following robot.
Expression
Students present their work to the class and, for some projects, at Digital Fest.
A Sample Line-Following Robot Unit
| Stage | Line-following robot unit |
|---|---|
| Concept | The class learns how a sensor reads a dark line on a light floor |
| Practice | Students write Python to read the sensor in AI Cloud Lab |
| Creation | Students wire the Arduino robot and load their code |
| Expression | Teams demonstrate the robot and explain how it works |
Our Reports for Principals and Teachers

-
School ReportsAI Cloud Lab produces reports that show each grade level's progress.
-
Data-Driven ReportingReports draw on submitted work, with a progress record kept alongside.
-
Instant Assessment ReportsTeachers receive reports as students submit work and can see who needs help before the next period.
